Set up WeChat Pay
Register and find your wallet. Follow these steps in the official app using our annotated screenshots or illustrated checklists.

What to do, step by step
- Install the official WeChat app
Install or update WeChat using your official app store. Open the app and select Sign Up or Log In.
- Use a reachable phone number
Choose your country/region code and sign up with a mobile number that can receive verification messages. Follow WeChat’s on-screen security checks.
- Open Me → Services
Tap Me, then Services. In some versions you may see Weixin Pay under Settings → General → Tools instead.
- Find Wallet or Weixin Pay
Inside Services, look for Wallet or Weixin Pay. You may be asked to activate the payment feature.
- Continue to add a bank card
Open the Bank Cards option and follow the official prompts. If you already have Weixin Pay, you can go straight to the card-linking guide.
